The following was sent by one of the Victoria committee members
It appears there are various stories circulating regarding the reason for the change of locks to the pool gates in
the Victorias.
It has been noted that many people from other urbanisations in La Cinuelica and Los Altos have copies of the pool keys
in R1.
The people in the Victorias are not prepared to pay for the upkeep of the pool and also let people other than the owners
of properties in R1 use it.
It was suggested by the administrator to change the locks to use keys that cannot be copied.
The cost of this is under 4 Euro each owner which includes 1 key.
The committee in the Granadas did not want to do this as they
say there is not a problem , although **** says that there is the same problem in the Granadas pool.
Also the Granadas swimming pool is being sabotaged in as much as the
wiring to the irrigation system has been ripped out- The sprinker heads have
been broken which has meant that the gardens have not been watered for some time and the grass and many of the plants have
died. The gardeners repaired everthing and they returned the next day and some-one had now turned of the water supply to the pool. Don't you think it is very strange that neither the administrator or the
president were told about this for over a week, they only found out from the gardeners. I spoke to **** and he said he
thinks he knows whois doing this but would rather not say.
SURELY WE ALL NEED TO KNOW WHO IS DAMAGING OUR PROPERTY!!!!
Also **** you are getting second hand information from the committee in the Granadas as you are not here in Spain at the moment.
ASK THE ADMINISTRATOR AND ASK THE GARDENERS IF IT IS TRUE THAT PILI IS AGGRESSIVE TO THEM AND THEN PLEASE LET EVERYONE
KNOW WHAT THEIR REPLY IS.
ANYONE WHO READS THIS PLEASE CONSIDER WHAT IS THE TRUTH BEFORE SIGNING ANY PAPERWORK
FOR AN EGM
The following response was submitted
by a Granada committee member
Regrettably (but not surprisingly) the above is full of half-truths
and misleading information. The fact is that the President changed the locks without consultaion, then refused to issue keys
to enable Granada owners access, and instructed the administrator not to issue keys.
There have been problems in the past where someone adjacent to the Victoria pool has turned legitimate
owners and visitors away (usually picking on women and children) and this is just not acceptable.
There have been some problems with the Granadas pool but the committee have almost resolved these,
and it is not wise to name someone thought to have been guilty of sabotaging the pool without having
all the evidence. If such evidence is available the Police will be asked to act.
As far as aggression is concerned, suffice it to say that this has been experienced at first hand!

NOTICE FOR ALL PROPERTY OWNERS
Addresses – The Neighbourhood Watch strongly advises every owner to ensure their correct address
is displayed in a prominent position (ie at the back of the front door) for their own benefit and that of any visitors. There have been occasions when emergency services have been delayed, or not arrived
at all, because of misunderstandings about addresses.
Your actual address will
be either Calle Escorpiones (mail box side) or Calle Abdelacies depending on which side you are on. You then have to put the number which has been attached to the blocks on a blue plaque. Now comes your block (Blq), your floor number (Piso), house number (Pta), Villa Rosa-La Ciñuelica, 03189
Orihuela Costa, Alicante.
Example for House No 2 -
Calle Abdelacies 1
Bloque

Street Lights + Internal Lights – If any street lights do not come on then we have to contact the
President, or telephone the police who will instruct Iberdrola to correct any faults. The Committee have been instructed
by the President not to touch any of the boxes as they are the property of Iberdrola.

Building Insurance Policy
Further to enquiries by a resident we have, in conjunction with the Administrators,
investigated the scope of liability of this policy which was originally implemented on 19th September 2005, and
has subsequently been renewed each year.
It appears that if, for example, a residence was subject to fire damage, the
whole building would be completely renovated, including all fitments to kitchen and bathroom, and including floor tiles, external
and internal doors.
The policy, of which every residence was issued a copy along with the Minutes
of the Extraordinary General Meeting on 7th November 2005, CLEARLY
states that:
Private water damage + Liability for private
water damage are NOT included.
The example we gave to the Administrator stated that if a washing machine started
to leak and caused water damage to a property floor and / or the property below, then the property insurance would NOT be liable for this. The Administrator agreed that this was, indeed,
the case.
Of course, any furniture and non-fitted items would be considered as contents
and have to be insured by each owner separately.
