Great start

Another useful link is the webcam in Torrevieja - nice to look at once in a while when back in UK
29th April 2008
Good idea to have a site for R1 only where problems and ideas specific to us can be aired
3rd May 2008
Format looks good. Looking forward to more up to date info on local tradesman and services offerred,
along with relevant info on R1 activities.
5th May 2008
Thanks for setting this up - hope it becomes a really useful addition to R1
7th May 2008
Good idea. Look forward to more localised news.
14th May 2008
I've just found this site, and it was great to read the minutes, as we only come over a few times
a year.
16th May 2008
Thanks for producing this site- at least we in the UK will have somewhere to find out what is
actually going on-cheers.
25th May 2008
Many thanks for this website, I hope you will be able to continue, and eventually be properly adopted
by the committee. We do all need to know what's going on!!
28th May 2008
Thanks
for going to the trouble of doing this. My first visit - I had bookmarked the page.
Great site ... Great idea.
Will the seperation of accounts lead to further separations? e.g. like use of the pools - If I am in the Granadas , why should
I be against the separation, as Granada owners are likely to benefit financially ?
I think the web site is very useful we don't feel so far away now. Its easy to catch up with what's
going on. and how things are being run. so well done and keep it going.
11th June 2008
I would like to thank the webmaster for informing the residents of the reasons why the barrier was
installed, unfortunately the minutes of the committee meeting should have gone out to let people know what decisions are being
made on their behalf, this was the administrators fault, not the committees, as they have been asking for them repeatedly.
13th June 2008
I would like to comment on the removal of the troughs at the end of Block 2. These troughs were installed
as a safety measure, and the people (I use that word reservedly) who were creeping about, and removed them on Tuesday night
/ Wednesday morning, have now cost the Urbanisation additional costs to reinstall and fix down permanently.
13th June 2008
Interesting that the Committee do not appear to want to inform us what's going on. I wonder why?
17th June 2008
Re the comments regarding
being kept in the dark about what’s happening, a couple of observations-
1. The committee are all volunteers, they do not get
paid and generally are trying their hardest for us HOWEVER
2. We are all part
of the community, the community is US therefore no one person or group of persons be they elected committee or not are entitled
to decide what the rest of the community know or don’t know, it’s not a company where the management team decide
what info is given out to the rest of the staff on a need to know basis, we are all entitled to know everything. I repeat
we are the community.
18th June 2008
Why is it that all our meetings turn into a slanging match/ Surely the purpose of the getting together is to improve our
community. Do all meetings of urbanisations tend to go this way?
Lets hope if the administrators do their work properly they will stay with us.
20th June 2008
Great to see that up to date information has been posted re changes to accounts. Would be great to see this
as an official site though.
20th June 2008
Many thanks for latest update on EGM.
11th July 2008
I was wondering if rule No15 regarding personal belongings left at pool
include sun loungers. If an accident occurs involving these loungers who would be held responsible, the owner or the community?
Or if the loungers cause any damage to the pool, should the owner be held responsible for the costs of repairs?
(Note from Webmaster: I am unable to offer this sort
of advice, other than my personal opinion, but I have referred the issue to a member of the Committee, and if the Committee
wish to advise I will post their comments in due course. My personal opinion is that the owner would be responsible.)

Thanks for the warning about Telmicro. Was just about to pay them for a year!
2nd September 2008
Just found this site. Very useful-but can't understand why Committee don't want it. An issue for the AGM I think!

TDT IS SPANISH TERRESTRIAL TELEVISION,AND IT IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL, IF YOU REQUIRE MORE THAN THE BASIC CHANNELS YOU WILL
NEED A TDT DIGITAL BOX.
18th March 2009
This is a very good and informative web site, it is a great point of contact when we are not in the area, keeping us
up to date with the news and views of the community.
22nd March 2009
There are also Victorias and Grand Victorias.
[Note. Reference to Victorias and Grand Victorias is not made because owners of these apartments
voted to separate themselves financially from the rest of the urbanisation. Under these circumstances it was anticipated that
no information would be received for posting about their spending etc. proposals. In the event that owners vote at the
2009 AGM to adopt this website, this situation will be changed.]

Is this the Holy Trinity?
[Note. This was an anonymous comment and it is assumed that this is a reference to the 3 names offered
for sending in proxy votes. Someone is obviously unhappy!]
7th April 2009
l would like to know when are the walls in front of the main swimming pool and park going to be painted,
only they make the area look awful and neglected.
15th July 2009
I have heard that the President is attempting to exclude the Granada apartments from
using the pool at the Victoria's. What is going on here ?
(This is apparently true. The Committee have tried to resolve this
with the Administrator, but he is legally obliged to carry out the President's instructions-unless they are unlawful. It seems
to me that denying access to Granada owners would be unlawful, so this needs to be clarified. Further details are now shown
on the STOP PRESS page) and you are urged to support the call for an EGM as set out on that page.
15th July 2009
There seems to be more illegally parked cars in the Urbanisation
than there were the last time I contacted you, What are the committee doing about this problem?
16th July 2009
There seems to be a lot of misinformation being put out by the Victoria committee members to fudge the issue of pool keys.
Clearly, whatever the situation, an EGM is now the only way to resolve all these issues.
27th July 2009
Nice to see you are still printing only half the story. Try telling your puppet master to tell the whole true not
just pieces that suit him. For your committee to say no money for keys and then start doing the walls and start doing them
in the area by swimming pool. Are the people who have done walls getting a refund because some are already complaining
about it.
Note: (I print whatever comments are received on this site, subject to them being decent, even
when they are implied criticisms from misinformed and ill-mannered people!).
29th July 2009
We read with great frustration
some comments published on this unoficial website.
We feel sure that if ALL committee
members sat down together as adults to discuss these so called problems, we could all live in harmony.
The comments from committee
members in the Granadas and Victorias are completely out of order, ie, lies, half truths and innuendoes.
The administrator must take
his share of this situation by meeting members of the Granadas without the presence of Victoria members and vice-versa.
It is time that all committee
members acted as mature adults and not like school children.
Would The Leader of The House
in England and in Spain
allow discussions to go ahead without all parties being present?
From concerned Granada Owners
30th July 2009
This whole pool key thing seems to have really got out
of hand. We have a Gran Victoria property and hadn't been informed about the new key via email, post or anything! It was only
because one of our partners was out there recently and went to use the pool that he found this out. This appears to be highly
irregular, and I clearly remember when we bought our house that there were two pools for use by both Granada and Victoria
residents. The pool we use (it's nearer) has never been full when we've been out (at all times of the year) so I really don't
know what the *real* problem is.
31st July 2009
No doubt you are in discussion with the administrator as to the next move , I would like
to comment as follows (this may be obvious but thought I would post the comment anyway)
It seems to me that the moves being made by our present president are all designed to
split the Victoria's and Granada's if not officially but by stealth measures
The locks on the swimming pool is the first ( to me am I going to walk all the way down
to use that pool, I doubt it, and I think that applies to the majority of Granada residents)
Gates that are proposed in the Victoria areas ( are these by any chance between the Granada areas
and the Victoria's?? the next stage will be locks on those gates ) and so it will go on nibbling away to destroy the community
As you know a document was issued by the administrator last year outlining how the management
committee should be structured i.e. president from Victoria's one year followed by a president from the Granada's
the next year etc etc , all in my opinion very fair , this should have been voted on to be actioned at the following
agm. Conveniently in her bid to hang on to power it was pushed under the desk and forgotten about ,of course had that been
actioned at the meeting ,she would not be the president as she would have had to hand over to someone from
the Granada side for the 2009-2010 year .and we would not be having these problems
The community we have I believe has a lot of potential to be a nice one (I appreciate
that I don't live there permanently and it can be argued that as such I can just come out for the odd month the wranglings
don't really affect me , but I don't see it like that , a good harmonious community means better facilities , all pulling
together which in the long term means a nice place to live and as importantly a community that others will wish
to buy into so enhancing our property values etc etc .
We need to solve our problems quickly and for once and for all ,you will never please everyone
all of the time but at least a try is needed
5th August 2009
We see that a new notice has appeard on the notice board in the Granada's area, complaining
as usual about the presidenta.
It states that we are ONE COMMUNITY GRANADA'S AND VICTORIA'S.
THERE ARE THREE (3) NOTICE BOARDS IN THIS ONE COMMUNITY-WHY DOES IT ONLY APPEAR IN ONE?
WHY IS IT ONLY IN ENGLISH?
THE NOTICE BOARDS ARE FOR ALL RESIDENTS TO READ NOT JUST THE ENGLISH.
WHOEVER POSTED THIS NOTICE IS OBVIOUSLY TRYING TO INCITE FRICTION & CAUSE EVEN MORE PROBLEMS.
GET A LIFE PLEASE!!!!!!!!
Can I have it confirmed that the Granada
apartment owners still do not have access to the smaller pool in the area of the Victorias.
With all the mud slinging
it would help to have it clarified what was actually proposed to do with the pool locks.
I can see from the minutes of the Feb meeting that- quote: 3. - There are quotes which have been obtained for
the pool doors which are to be changed, as was agreed in the previous meeting. The President believes that there are more
urgent things that need to be done in the Community. The rest of the committee members agree that there are other things that
have a higher priority than these doors, so it was agreed that the doors would not be changed at the moment.
But not
having a copy of the AGM I am unaware of what has been discussed since then.
As owners on R1 we are all entitled to
the use of both pools and have keys to both. Surely there should be no argument- we should all have keys to both pools
and new ones should be issued to all, if, and when the locks/gates are upgraded.
IF there is a reason for the keys only being issued to some, then I think the President should make us all
aware as to the reason behind this and also as to when the rest of us will be getting access to the smaller pool. We hear
rumours from different sources, and even today get an email with a copy of a letter from a resident via the administrator.
Why should a resident have to speak for the President, why cant she address us herself and explain what she has done and why?
14th August 2009
Just received the President's letter. She must think we were all born yesterday!
14th August 2009
The President will have the chance to explain herself at the EGM, although I don't see how she can
justify what she has done, which all seems to be aimed at making the pool only available to a select few.
14th August 2009
The Presidents
letter still doesn’t answer the basic questions that we are all asking -
"why
were the locks changed in the first place" and why were all the residents
not informed that they were being changed and telling them that they could obtain a new key from whoever/wherever ??
It seems
a great waste of money - 300 + keys @5 euros each= 1500 euros (assuming we only had 1, most
residents I am sure have at least 2) so that’s 3000 euros of unnecessary expense that the residents shouldn’t
have needed to payout even if it is individually . I still haven’t officially been told they have been changed
and exactly whereI can get a new one !
Surely
the correct procedure in any country would have been that at a committee meeting the subject should have been brought up for discussion and explained to all those members why
the president felt the locks should be changed.
If after
discussion, a vote taken, if it was agreed to change them , all owners should have been informed why they
were being changed and what the change over program would be and the date that they would be changed, and
asking them how many keys they would like to order and where they could collect them from.
Sorry
I am not convinced that there isn’t something else going on .
19th August 2009
Just
back from a week at my apartment and wasn't able to get a key for the lower pool. Was told Granada owners couldn't have a
key any more. This President really is a law unto herself. Make sure you send a proxy vote to get her out!

August 2009
Dear neighbour
It seems to me to be absurd of you to make
complaints about the President and the Administrator, when each group of houses, Granadas and Victorias, have separated accounts.
Do you think it is good that we spend money on improvements when you freely come to litter it with glass and plastic bottles,
like yobs and drunks until 5 in the morning, not letting those living nearby get to sleep.
If, then, it seems a bad decision was taken, I believe that you very much want to be a dictator to want to enter a
neighbour’s house to bathe and keep it clean and gleaming.
One thing I have to say to you is that *****)
and ****** are cowards and two faced because they have always acted behind the President’s back, hold meetings with
only Granadas represented and without going any further on Friday showed contempt for the rest of the committee by not attending
a meeting when one gentleman had made an 800 km trip to attend. Where are the
British manners? Is it not that ******* is looking to oust the President and
return to take her post, remember the previous failure when he only gained a few votes, neither had any of your compatriots
have confidence in you or want you. As regards *******, it is very sad
that this man who by all accounts rudely speaks to all renting in the apartments and sends them to the lower pool when his
is empty.
People should remember when they go to a country
to obey its laws, and remember they are not in a British colony, so they must shut up and accept what others say and try to
avoid any help from the witch at *** (censored) who is on the winning side by
being a tight-fisted, bad person.
What were the accounts separated for, so that
you paid less? Why an EGM when the majority of the people from the Victorias are not here at this time of year? You want to take advantage of the minimum to rub it in and you are a social climber. If Google doesn’t translate this then find out. The
internet web page is illegal because it has publicised a lie – the apartments don’t have two pools, so in the
name of all the community I ask them that they stop publicising this now before I ask them to do it but then you do what you
think is best.
Greetings to all the community and that you
may return to your country, “dictators”. Remember that that you are
in a country called Spain in case you
don’t know.
(Signature removed)
22nd August 2009
Would it not be common courtesy to put the letter in its original language ( Spanish ) as whoever translated it can not
speak or read Spanish. They may think they can. NO WAY
22nd August 2009
I have watched the various messages and mud slinging going on at the
vice president and the committee , whilst in my mind what the president has done re the locks is illegal, and not in the interest
of all members of the comunity we as members of the community are all entitled to access etc and the agm
will hopefully sort the matter out although i doubt that it will be the end of the matter .
However I would like to remind the mud slingers , that the committeee members
serve and work on our behalf vountarily, they give there time up for US and the comunity ,if YOU think you can do it
any better then, now is the time to prove your point just stand for election for the commitee on the 26th."
(I regret the late posting of this comment,
but working away meant that I did not receive it until after the EGM)
